New England Youth Development League 4 – September 11, 2022 – Registration – UPDATE

My mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for children between the age of 6 to 17 to compete in Muay Thai/Kickboxing, and help promote future champions from New England.

I will have LIMITED amount of spots open for this year’s event!

This year, the event will be held on September 11, 2022, and will be OUTDOOR at Spero’s Martial Arts Academy in New Hampshire.

If you are sick, please stay home.

There are some IMPORTANT changes to this years event as follows:

Elbow pads are NOT needed.

Head gear is not needed if there is no head contact in the match.

ALL competitors are REQUIRED to have the following:

Boxing Gloves:

1. 6 & 7 y/o – min 6 oz
2. 8 & 9 y/o – min 8oz
3. 10 -14 y/o – min 10oz
4. 15 y/0 and above min 12 oz

Muay Thai Shorts/Shorts with NO pockets

Shin guards

Headgear (For allowed bouts only)

Mouthpiece

Body shield

Groin Protection

The competition area will be in a 24′ cage and there will be NO CLINCH work AGAINST the cage.

I have rules readily available to you but here are the highlights:

Beginner – children who received ANY kind of striking arts training for less than ONE year and/or less than 3 formal competition bouts. There is no head contact at all.

Intermediate – children who received ANY kind of striking arts training between ONE to THREE year(s) and/or have more than 3 and less than 10 formal competition bouts. There is no head contact at all.

Advance – children who received ANY kind of striking arts training for over THREE years and/or have more than 10 formal competition bouts. If the competitor is 10 year old and over, head contact allowed. There is no elbow, no knee, and spinning back fist has to land on ANY part of the gloves, including the cuffs that lands on the head.

Weight in is between 9 – 9:30 AM

Rules Meeting at 9:45AM

Please be sure the competitor is within 5 lbs of registered weight on competition date.

First bout is at 10 AM Sharp!

Early registration is is $50 from June 11-July 31, 2022 after that it will be $75. We encourage all participants to register early.

Spectator donation is only $25 and youth under 10 year’s old is FREE!
